Los Monos started where every great Mexican kitchen starts — at home. Family recipes passed down across generations, slow-cooked in big pots, served with warm tortillas and bigger laughs. When we opened our doors on Lake Street in Glendale, we made a promise: cook every plate the way we'd cook for our own family.
★ La Cocina ★
Tacos. Burritos. Fajita plates. Breakfast burritos that get you through the day and crunch wraps that make you skip lunch tomorrow. We marinate our own meats, sauté our own peppers, and never cut corners on the sabor.

★ La Carnicería ★
Right in the same shop, we run a full carnicería. The same beef, chicken, pork, and chorizo we cook with goes home with you by the pound — already marinated, ready for your grill. Ranchera, ribeye, tomahawk, milanesa, costilla norteña, red & green chorizo, and more. Stop by the counter or call ahead for big orders.
★ El Catering ★
Here’s what makes Los Monos different from any other caterer you’ll call: we’re a carnicería. Most caterers buy their meat already cut and seasoned from a supplier and reheat it on-site. We don’t. Every cut of ranchera, asada, al pastor, chicken, and chorizo starts behind our own counter — butchered and marinated in-house the way our family has done it for generations — then grilled fresh, right in front of your guests, hot off the comal.
That’s flavor you can’t fake and quality we put our name on. From a simple taco tray to a full-service taco cart with our crew handling the setup, the service, and the cleanup, we scale to fit your event — quinceañeras, backyard birthdays, weddings, corporate lunches — without ever cutting a corner on the sabor. You bring the people; we bring the cart, the fire, and the fiesta. And because we’re your neighbors right here on Lake Street, when we say we’ll show up and feed your people right, we mean it.
